CMA Country Christmas a Hit!

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the multi-talented performers during the CMA Country Christmas special which aired Thursday night.  There was plenty of Glitz and Glam along with some beautiful Christmas ballads. One in particular sung by multiple Dove and Emmy Winning artist Amy Grant.  Amy sang one of my personal favorites “Breath of Heaven” alongside her husband Vince Gill who accompanied her with his ever amazing harmony.

The beautiful and talented Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland and the host of the evenings Christmas special gave us a taste of her powerful yet tender vocals singing “Silent Night”

One of my favorite performances of the evening was Little Big Town’s tribute to our Military Service Men and Women by singing an all time favorite “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” Their lush harmony brought tears to my eyes.

From start to finish star performers including Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Faith Hill, Scotty McCreery, Kellie Pickler, Darius Rucker and Lauren Alaina took the stage.

Four-time CMA award winner Martina McBride sang her rendition of “Please Come Home for Christmas” with a picturesque winter wonderland back-drop.

The evenings show ended with an all-star lineup singing “Jingle Bells”

If you missed it the CMA Country Christmas will re-air December 22 on ABC.
