Jesus the Healer
Pray ye one for another that You may be Healed…In His message, “Healing Belongs to Us,” Kenneth E. Hagin asked this question: “Would God ask you to pray for something if it wasn’t His will? “Is any sick among you? Let them call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Name of the Lord: And the Prayer of Faith shall save (Save in the Greek is Sozo: to Heal, Restore to Health) the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he/she has committed sins, they Shall be Forgiven him/her. Confess Your faults one to another, and Pray one for another, that YOU May be Healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person Avails much.” James 5:13-16.
According to this context of verses, we see plainly that is IS God’s will to Heal – All.
Look at that verse again,”Is ANY sick among you…” (no one excluded) and, “Pray one for another, that YOU may be Healed. Remember, the “Prayer of Faith” is Key here, for Jesus says, “…If YOU have Faith as small as a mustard seed, YOU will SAY to this mountain, “Move from here to there” and it will Move, and Nothing shall be impossible to You.” This is what the Lord is referring to in James 5, “The Prayer of Faith” shall Heal the sick, that’s what Jesus call Authority, His Authority, as He says in Luke 10:19, “Behold I Give YOU Authority/power, to tread on serpents and scorpions and over ALL the power of the enemy, and Nothing shall by any means hurt you.” In this context Jesus is speaking of the devil and his demons (wicked, evil and unclean spirits) in verses 17 and 18, He was teaching the 70 who returned excited that “the spirits are subject unto us in Your Name…” and Jesus responded and said, “I saw Satan fall as lightning from heaven…” then He proceeded to teach them and it applies to us today, that He has given us His Authority of ALL the power of the enemy and in this passage in James 5, He is referring to sickness, as He is saying through James, to use the Authority He has given us, saying, “Prayer of Faith” will Heal the sick in the Name of Jesus. Acts 10:38 says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with Power (Authority) who went about doing Good and Healing ALL that are oppressed of the Devil, for God was with Him.” God is Not making people sick, its the work of the devil, and we have been given Authority/Power in the Name of Jesus over All the works of the enemy.
We also see this Authority in the Teachings of Jesus in Mark chapter 11:20-26, where Jesus tells us we Have the Faith of God, the Spirit of Faith given to us as Paul quotes David in 2 Corinthians 4:13, “And WE (that’s all Believer’s in Jesus) having the Same Spirit of Faith, as it is written, ‘I Believe therefore I have Spoken’ We ALSO Believe and Therefore Speak. This is the Prayer of Faith and the Spirit of Faith combined in Mark 11:20-26. Faith Believes and Speaks, it’s that simple. It’s how many of you were saved based on Romans 10:8-10, “But what saith it? The Word is near You, in Your Mouth and in Your Heart (spirit), that is the Word of Faith which we preach (Word of Faith, Prayer of Faith, Spirit of Faith, ALL have to do with Believe and Speak) V9, that if You shall Confess (that’s words spoken out your mouth) with Your Mouth the Lord Jesus, and Shall Believe in your Heart (that’s Faith) that God raised Him from the dead, You Shall be Saved (that’s Sozo again, which means forgiveness of sin and Healing for the body as we saw in Isaiah 53:4,5) For with the Heart (your spirit) a person Believes, and with the Mouth Confession (Speaking) is made unto Salvation. “
Jesus said if You have Seen Me You have Seen the Father, John 14:9. He also said, I Must Work the works of Him who sent Me, while it is day, the night comes when no one can work. John 9:4. Who is the Father? “Every GOOD and Perfect Gift comes down from the Father of Lights, who does Not change like shifting shadows” James 1:17. Jesus said in John 14:9, “If You have seen Me, You have seen the Father” that means God is telling the Truth (Numbers 23:23, God does Not lie) when He said, in Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with Power, who went about DOING GOOD, and HEALING ALL that were oppressed of the Devil. For GOD (who Only does Good) was with Him.” We see clearly in these verses, sickness is from the devil and is Not from God, BUT HEALING IS FROM GOD!
When we see Jesus Heal ALL the sick, we see Him carrying out the Will of the Father.
Forgiveness of sin, Healing for the body and God’s abundant provision are the Complete Plan of Redemption. Healing Belongs to You and Me. He, Jesus, “bore our sicknesses and carried our pains, and by His strips, we Are Healed.” Glory to God!
