Idol’s Final 3-Scotty, Haley & Lauren

After months of watching and listening to some of the most talented people on American Idol, the nation voted and we are now left with the “final 3”!  Country artist Scotty McCreery only 17 years of age from North Carolina performed an American classic by Alan Jackson “Where Were You”.  Scotty sang this song with  passion and from the heart,  reminding us of the families that were affected by the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York City. Haley Reinhart, a 20-year-old young singer and actress from Wheeling IL., sang “I Who Have Nothing” by Ben E. King,  capturing the attention of Idol viewers once again with her amazing vocals and beauty. Last but not least, 16-year-old Lauren Alaina from Rossville, GA.,  dazzled us with her performance singing “Trouble” by Elvis Presley.

In my personal opinion each of these artists have plenty of talent to take them to the next level of their careers.  Each of them have what we call “Star” quality.  Scotty McCreery one of my favorite Idol contestants will definitely have a record deal most likely from Nashville (just a hunch). His vocal range  is likened to some of the great country singers in history.  I believe his humility and Faith in God  (aside from his vocal talent) is what makes him appealing to the listening audience.  As most of you may know, country music is  well known for their strong faith in God and Jesus Christ.  During my research of each  artist, I found that Scotty’s favorite quote  is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Phil 4:13.  What an amazing testimony to the young people of our generation. An artist that is not afraid to share his faith with the world.

Looking forward to next weeks performances…Scotty, Haley and Lauren, you are ALL winners!
