Over 95 million votes came in to determine which two contestants would stay in battling position for becoming the next “American Idol” and “who” would go home. As America watched we witnessed a very powerful opening performance by Haley singing “What Is and What Should Never Be” by Led Zeppelin on Thursday night, most were in shock to see this amazing talent take a fall not only in front of the judges, but in front of millions of viewers. Haley sang while her father accompanied by playing the electric guitar.
Some say that had she not taken the tumble she just may have made it through to the next round. Scotty came out strong singing “Amazed” along with the fun and feel good song sure to put a smile on your face “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not”. He finished this round with “She Believes In Me”. Lauren showcased her amazing talent singing “Wild One”, “If I Die Young” and “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack. Not matter who wins the competition next week, both Scotty and Lauren both have promising careers as Country artists. But only one will become the 2011 American Idol!
